What counts as an article?
One article = one researched, written, checked and published post of up to about 2,000 words with two images.
Long-form posts (2,000 to 4,000 words) count as two.
Editing, regenerating a section, keyword research and reporting are always included: they never use up articles.

Questions about paying
Do you charge VAT?
Yes, UK VAT at 20% is added at checkout. Enter your VAT number if you're VAT-registered outside the UK.
Can I cancel any time?
Yes. Go to Settings → Billing → Cancel plan. It takes two clicks and you keep access until the end of the period you've paid for.
How does the money-back guarantee work?
If RankOtter isn't for you, ask for a refund within 30 days of your first payment and we'll refund it in full. Full terms →
What happens to unused articles?
Unused monthly articles roll over once, for one month. Top-up articles never expire.
Can I change plan?
Upgrade any time (charged pro rata); downgrades take effect at your next renewal.
Do you offer a free trial?
Your first article is free with no card. Analyse your site first, then decide.
How do I pay?
By card through Stripe. Agency plans can be invoiced annually on request.

It renews every month on the [date] until you cancel. No minimum term. You can cancel online at any time in Settings → Billing and keep access until the end of the period paid. We'll email you before each renewal. Price changes are emailed 30 days in advance.
